Join us for an illuminating lecture about one of the most interesting and less known chapters in Wharton's life--her experiences in France during World War I. Alice Kelley, a PhD candidate from the University of Cambridge, will examine Wharton's representations of the death and destruction she saw ravaging Europe in her stories "Coming Home," Fighting France, and A Son at the Front.
