Description:
This exhibition brings together ten paintings by the American landscapist George Inness (1825-1894), eight from a private collection and two from the Clark. Dating from the early 1880s to 1894, the year of the artist's death, the works represent the mature phase of Inness's art, highlighting his evolution toward a more ethereal and evocative depiction of nature.
