SHOOT IT. VIEW IT. Session Four: Social Film

Dates: Sun, Mar 10, 2013
Times: 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Description:
This new series of workshops focuses on smart device technology. In one afternoon all participants will leave the workshop having made a movie. All you have to bring is your cell phone or tablet. The workshops are not for filmmakers per se, but for anyone living in the fast-paced world of social media. The sessions are designed to help anyone: from teens on Facebook to older folks with stories to tell -- artists, poets, writers or anyone who has something they want to communicate whether social, business, promotional or charitable. Each session is designed as a stand-alone, so you may sign up for one, two , three or all four. The apps are very easy to use and the concept of why they were invented for use by the average person and how they can be used creatively by the class will kick off each session. Thanks to a generous grant from the MA Cultural Council, we are able to offer each workshop for the incredibly low price of $10 per session. Space is limited to 12 participants, so the classes will fill on a first come, first served basis. Session Four: Social Film Learn to use the Apps to present personal, social, or commercial ideas and create footage with sound- dialog and music. View samples of informational and dramatic short films. Learn how to shoot an interview and shoot actors with dialogue. Participate in a group shoot of short social media films. Sunday, March 10, 1:00-5:00 $10.
