Acclaimed British violinist Ruth Palmer, who has been described as "the most distinctive violinist of her generation," performs Korngold's glorious violin concerto as part of this special evening of star performances. Conducted by Jonathan McPhee, the program also features the world premiere of a new commission by award-winning contemporary composer Michael Gandolfi, and a performance of Beethoven's expressive sixth symphony, the "Pastoral." Pre-concert conductor's talk at 7 pm. Tickets: $30-$50; $20 for students.
