Description:
During Wool Days the Old Sturbridge Village get their annual "hair cuts" and historians demonstrate how wool is processed - from shearing, scouring, and carding to dyeing, spinning, and weaving (in other words, from sheep to shirt). Try your hand and test your history IQ at our textile exhibit. Memorial Day is also our official kick-off to summer activities like period games, 1830s "base ball" and "French & English" tug-of-war contests. For details: 800-733-1830
