Description:
One of the world's greatest orchestras, founded in 1881, the BSO performs in Symphony Hall, celebrated the world over for its magnificent acoustics and historic location. The BSO's summer home is Tanglewood in the Berkshires. Music Director James Levine, performs in Symphony hall October through early May; from may to July, the Boston Pops performs under the direction of Keith Lockhart.
