Founded in 1969, Heritage Museums & Gardens is a place that celebrates American culture and inspires lifelong learning. It includes a Shaker- style round barn with world-famous automobile collection; American History Museum with new exhibit America's Kitchens organized by Historic New England; Art Museum with working antique carousel and new exhibit Flying Horses - explores the history of this popular amusement. Dexter rhododendron bloom during mid-May-June; Daylilies bloom all over the grounds from July through August, Halloween and holiday events, Flume Fountain with 26 ft. waterfall, Labyrinth, Hart Family Maze Garden, Old East Mill, seasonal Cafe, Museum Store and Garden Shop. Hidden Hollow: Outdoor Discovery Center provides family activities , car show, and more.
