Description:
Exhibits books and memorabilia from the life of renowned children's author and naturalist, who wrote such classics as Old Mother West Wind and The Adventures of Peter Cottontail. Through his stories Burgess instilled in generations of children a love of the natural world and a belief in conservation. Burgess books and other nature-related items may be found in the museum gift shop. The museum is open daily from May to mid-October. Admission is by donation. Live animal story times are offered during July and August.
