Georges Island is the home of Fort Warren, features a grassy parade ground, a new visitor center facility, and a large tented area. The tent can hold about 250 people for a seated event and 300 for a standing reception. Georges Island is about a 45 minutes boat ride from Boston. Summer Shack Catering is the exclusive caterer on the island and is happy to customize a particular menu for any event, as well as provide staffing, table and chair rentals, bar service, linen selection, flower arrangements, creative decorations, and more.
