While you are on your way to the Douglas State Forest, stop at Memorial Beach in Webster. It is a great public access to
Lake Chargoggagoggmanchaugagoggchaubunagungamaugg, the largest natural body of water in Massachusetts! The beach was donated to the town and set aside as a lasting memorial to those who fought and died in WWII. It is regarded as a tribute to all veterans and features picnic areas, great swimming and two terrific walking tracks.
