Massachusetts’ art and craft galleries are as eclectic as the art itself. La Galeria Cubana, Boston and Provincetown, showcases paintings, prints, and mixed media works by artists currently living and working in Cuba. Left Bank Gallery, Wellfleet and Orleans, is brimming with paintings, prints, sculpture, mobiles, and an extensive collection of American functional pottery. The artist owners of Grow Gallery, Shelburne Falls, don’t have far to look for fellow artists and craftspeople; 75% of the work in the gallery comes from studios in the surrounding towns. The Mercury Gallery, Rockport, exhibits paintings, works on paper and sculpture by over thirty established artists, whose work has received national and international recognition. Fire Opal, Jamaica Plain and Brookline, stocks ceramics, jewelry, glass, prints, and women’s apparel.
